Applications of Nv nets So I've built an Nv net -- now what? Well, if you haven't thought this far before now, you'll want to think about just what your net can drive. What follows is a simple listing of some applications to which Nv nets have been put, broken down by the "order" of the Nv net (i.e., the net's number of Nv neurons). This is not by any means intended as a limitation on future development, nor will I pretend that it's a comprehensive listing -- it is, rather, intended to spur further thought and development.
As a general rule, you'll want to allow two Nv neurons for each motor (i.e., one neuron for each required motor direction of travel). In a very few cases, multiple motors can share neurons (see, for example, the discussion of 3-motor walkers); this is a fairly rare thing, though. |
