Jumpers Born to jump and bounce Jumpers are robots that move around by bouncing or jumping ballistically from place to place. As you might suspect, these can be cleanly divided into two classes: Vibrobots -- most of these use a pager motor (with its "stock" offset weight on the motor shaft) to periodically "jiggle" themselves around a desk or tabletop. Mock-bug designs seem to be particularly popular in the Vibrobot arena. Springbots -- these actually pick a preferred direction, then jump that way.
